Imam Shirazi World Foundation Publishes Statement as UN General Assembly Commences

As the annual General Assembly begins to host world leaders, Imam Shirazi World Foundation published a statement. Parts of the statement come as follows:

“In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Almighty God States in holy Quran:

People, we have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you might know one another. The noblest of you before Allah is the most righteous of you. Allah is the Knower, the Aware. [49:13]

 

The United Nations hosts the General Assembly 2019 as the world plunges into chaos and turmoil, which have been unprecedented since World War II. In our modern times, the international community faces threats and dangers that are for the most part caused by the wrongful policies of the world powers.

In the wake of this chaotic situation, Imam Shirazi World Foundation offers the world leaders to adopt universal and Islamic principles to ensure equity, sacrifice, social security and moral values in all parts of the world. The materialization of these values will lead to a prosperous life, which is well deserved by all human beings regardless of their faith, color, and beliefs.”

The rest of the statement reads:

“Imam Shirazi World Foundation calls on the UN to follow up on the humanitarian cases and put forth solutions to end crises in this area. We strongly believe that the resolution of political and military conflicts is crucial to uphold humanitarian agendas and programs.”

ISWF further added: “The issues of climate change, economic crises, and justice are among the most conflicting agendas in our world today, which have led to civil wars, forced immigration, poor life standards, and the lack of social stability. Though the ripple effects of these crises are not limited to a certain area or time, these crises are more evident in the Middle East, in countries such as Yemen, Syria, and Libya.

Crackdowns by autocratic regimes and the confiscation of freedoms have been a big hurdle to the path of prosperity and progress.

Imam Shirazi World Foundation is hopeful that the UN would endeavor hard to find tangible and practical solutions to end the sufferings of millions of people on this planet. This foundation believes that this important task, despite being difficult, is doable.”
