Shia Muslims from Madagascar Meet Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

The House of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Qom hosted groups of activists and Shia believers from Madagascar on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. It is worth noting that most of these believers are Shia converts who are now on their first pilgrimage trip to the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in holy Karbala. In this meeting, the Grand Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi highlighted the important role of women in the early history of Islam. His eminence further hinted that women have the potentials to guide their communities, and thus, they have a big responsibility. Further in this meeting, the Grand Ayatollah said:

“With greater hardships, come greater rewards. Therefore, all of you should try hard and welcome the hardships that come your way because they bring you greater rewards.”

His Eminence then stated: “To have success, one requires to master two things; first, it is to work hard and second, it is to master true piety. Today, Africa has a population of one billion people. Each and every one of you should engage in introducing Islam to them. So, you should buckle up and be sure that you will be successful. This happens, only if you cross out the word comfort.

At the end of his remarks, the Grand Jurist said: “God willing, you will have the honor to visit the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). I sincerely pray for all of you and I hope you do the same.”
