Imam Shirazi World Foundation Grateful for Activities During Arbaeen Pilgrimage

Imam Shirazi World Foundation published a statement to commend the efforts and works done to serve the millions of pilgrims who took part in the glorious Arbaeen pilgrimage in holy Karbala. Here are some parts of this statement:

“We consider this our duty to thank the millions of people who took on all the hardships and participated in the glorious Arbaeen pilgrimage from inside and outside Iraq. This pilgrimage is a show of sympathy to the tragedies that befell Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his noble household, on the Day of Ashura in 61 Ah and thereafter. We also feel the urge to send our special thanks to the volunteers and the Iraqi authorities for their good service of the large number of pilgrims in this great event. The sacrifices of the security forces to ensure the security of this pilgrimage and the unique show of generosity by all groups of people are truly exceptional in the entire world. We strongly believe that such actions are great steps to introducing the holy AhlulBayt (peace be upon them) and the pristine teachings of Islam to the whole world. In other words, it is a loud response to the cry of help by Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) on the lonely plains of Karbala in 61 AH, when his holiness called out: “Is there no one to help me?”
