Nonviolence Releases Statement on World Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25, Nonviolence Incorporation published a statement that reads as follows:

“Women shape up half the world population and they play an important role in the progress and development of human societies. Therefore, Islam honors the social and individual role of women and provides them with an equal status as men.” This statement further reads: “The right to education, proper medical treatment, and equal rights are not available to a large group of people in all parts of the world. For the most part, racial and tribal bigotries as well as many other unfounded biases have made women an inferior kind to their male counterparts. This is while that sustainable development cannot be achieved unless by respecting the rights of women. On this special occasion, Nonviolence Incorporation calls on all Arab world leaders to begin organized endeavors in order to promote the role of women in their societies and protect their rights and dignity.”
