Sheikh Haidar Samiani, an author, public speaker and Iraqi cleric who lives in Australia met with the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in his trip to the holy City of Qom, in Iran. During this meeting, the Iraqi cleric reported on the latest situation of Shia Muslims in Australia. Furthermore, the Grand Jurist stated:

“Human beings shouldn’t lose sight of two things; first, it is to purify and develop themselves. Second, it is to attract the youths to the path of guidance.” His eminence then added: “We all are bound to die and this world is a transient abode, so we should prepare for the afterlife. To do this, we should commit ourselves to self-development and attract the youths to the cause of AhlulBayt. All youths should be given the opportunity to speak their minds and feelings. We need to answer the questions they have in their minds.” The Grand Ayatollah then said: “This great task cannot be accomplished unless by hard work and diligence.”
