Adam Center Launches Campaign to Help Vulnerable Families

Adam Center for Defending Rights and Freedoms, dependent on the Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi launched a campaign, titled “For humanity”, in order to help the underpaid and vulnerable families, during the coronavirus pandemic. The statement by this campaign reads:

“In view of our moral, legal and religious duty, and in order to help and support the families that have faced financial problems due to the coronavirus quarantine implemented in Iraq, we call on the proud and generous nation of Iraq to perform their social responsibility in this time of crisis.”

The statement further goes on:

“As followers of the holy AhlulBayt (peace be upon them) we have been taught to ‘have mercy on everything on the earth, so that the heavens would have mercy on us.’ Therefore, we should overlook our responsibilities for the lower classes of our society.” “The Iraqi nation have always been among the firsts to help their fellow citizens in critical times of this caliber. For instance, the nationwide resolution of all Iraqis to fight off ISIS emerged in various shapes such as picking up arms and providing all kinds of logistic support. Sacrificial acts of this kind are a bold characteristic of the Iraqi people and they will never be forgotten.” In the end, this statement hints: “Adam Center requests all well-to-do families in Iraq to step forward and help out the needy during this pandemic. It is good for all of us to be reminded of these words in Holy Quran: ‘God, who decides life and death, shall put all of you to test so as to see who among you is a good doer and most generous.’ [Chapter 67, Verse 2]

It is worth noting that novel coronavirus has created a state of pandemic in the world, and has caused a great deal of concern for all groups of people, particularly the lower classes.
