Nonviolence Incorporation Publishes Statement on World Refugee Day

On the threshold of the World Refugee Day on June 20, Nonviolence Incorporation published a statement that comes as follows:

Almighty God says: “And cooperate in righteousness and warding off (evil).” [5:2]

The destructive ravages of coronavirus pandemic have left a heavy toll on the thousands of defenseless asylum seekers, who are struggling with the perils of this virus, as the host countries have failed to take health measures to protect them from this threat. Asylum seekers have faced numerous problems, as the host countries, in fear of coronavirus outbreak, have quarantined these asylum seekers in camps where health instructions are not observed.

Considering the sufferings of asylum seekers, Nonviolence Incorporation calls on the international community, especially the United Nations, to address the sufferings of thousands of these vulnerable families and to help them from a purely humanitarian perspective, by providing them with safe environment and a platform speak their requests. Based on human rights and the regulations approved by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the international community must provide safe havens and camps for asylum seekers. Nonviolence further highlights the need to study the causes and motives behind mass immigration from economic, social and political perspectives.
