Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Holy Najaf Hosts Tribal Chiefs from Babylon

Some tribal chiefs from Babylon visited the Office of the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Najaf and met with Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Zakeri, one of the representatives of the Grand Jurist.

In this meeting, Sheikh Zakeri emphasized on the Arbaeen pilgrimage and said:

“The Iraqi government should pay special attention to the issue of religious tourism to resonate the call of Imam Ali and Imam Hussain in different parts of the world.”

“The Iraqi tribes are the pillars of the country and they can renovate the economy of this country. They should not rely on government support, because most governments only care about political games and not the economic growth.”

The representative of the Grand Jurist then said:

“For many times in history, the Iraqi tribes have proven their loyalty; today, they can also boost the country’s economy. All Iraqis should hand in hand contribute to the Arbaeen pilgrimage and serve pilgrims as much as they can.”
