Indian Executive Committee of Shias Rights Hosts Conference

Indian executive committee of Shia Rights, presided over by Sheikh Mostafa Adib, one of the representatives of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi hosted a session in the past few days. More than 100 religious scholars and rights activists from all across India took part in this session, which was held online. Discussions at this conference were predominantly concerning the rights of Shia believers in India, and preparations for the Ashura memorials in this country. Creating a forum, where the Shia community can have constructive dialogue with Indian authorities and obtain legal permissions to hold Ashura memorials during the month of Muharram were also highlighted. Furthermore, the attendees underscored the need to assist vulnerable Shia families during the coronavirus pandemic.
