Al-Mawaddat Foundation Discusses Popular Culture in Holy Karbala

Al-Mawaddat Foundation, affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Holy Karbala held a panel discussion, to study the popular culture and its disparities with genuine Islamic culture. Ms.Soham Alshojayre, a PhD of Media Economics was the keynote figure at this panel. Ms.Roqaya Taj, who was supervising this panel, made a few remarks about the forceful propaganda machine, on various social media platforms, which shape up the kind of popular culture that looks away from ethics, morals, truth, and meaning. It is apparent that the public is strongly affected by the products of the propaganda machine. In other words, the media platforms with the new way of communication that it has brought about, have fueled the race for spiritual and moral deprivation.
