Ayatollah Shirazi Office Condemns the Terrorist Attack in Baghdad

The Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Karbala published a statement to condemn the recent terrorist attack in Baghdad, the Capital of Iraq, during which dozens of people were killed and wounded. The statement by the Office of the Grand Jurist blamed the attack partly on the corrupt administration in this country and the Iraqi officials for their failure to unite their efforts in protecting the lives of Iraqi citizens. The Office of the Ayatollah Shirazi also offered its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of this attack, and called on the Iraqi security forces and the supreme Judicial Council of Iraq to bring the perpetrators of this attack to justice. Shia Rights Watch also condemned the incident in a statement and said: “Reports indicate that number of terrorist attacks by Daesh against Shia Iraqis has seen a steady rise in recent months. Therefore, there needs to be quick and swift measures taken to counter the growing threat of Daesh against the Shia communities.” 32 Iraqi citizens were martyred and more than a hundred people were wounded during a twin suicide bomb attack in central Baghdad.
