Shia in Madagascar Renew Fealty to Imam al-Mahdi in a Ceremony

A group of Shia believers and advocates of the Grand Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in Mahajanga City of Madagascar celebrated the birthday of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) in a ceremony, during which they renewed their fealty to the Awaited Savior by writing a letter. This letter was then left floating in the sea on the dawn of 15^th of Shaban. Sheikh Razi Wasram, one of the representatives of Grand Jurist was also present in this ceremony.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful (1)

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds (2)

The Beneficent, the Merciful (3)

Master of the Day of Judgment (4)

Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help (5)

Keep us on the right path (6)

The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray (7)

Chapter Al-Ikhlas.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful (1)

Say: He, Allah, is One (2)

Allah is He on Whom all depend (3)

He begets not, nor is He begotten (4)

And none is like Him (5)
