The House of Grand Shia Islamic Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in the holy City of Qom begins to hold ceremonies to honor the nights of Qadr and the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (blessings of God be upon him) for five consecutive nights. These ceremonies are attended by senior scholars, seminarians and clerics as well as His Eminence, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful (1)

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds (2)

The Beneficent, the Merciful (3)

Master of the Day of Judgment (4)

Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help (5)

Keep us on the right path (6)

The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray (7)

Chapter Al-Ikhlas.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful (1)

Say: He, Allah, is One (2)

Allah is He on Whom all depend (3)

He begets not, nor is He begotten (4)

And none is like Him (5)
