AhlulBayt Institute Holds Conference in Basra Iraq
On the orders of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to strengthen the social relationship with different groups of the community, and in coincidence with the Alfetr holiday, the AhlulBayt Cultural and Charity Institute in Basra held the first round of its series of conferences titled “The Islamic Traditions and Etiquette”.
This conference hosted some famous Iraqi tribal figures in Basra, academics, military personalities, government authorities, journalists and civil rights activists.
After the recitation of the holy Quran, Sheikh Sadiq Al-Basri, the director of AhlulBayt Institute congratulated the arrival of the Eid al-Fitr, and then explained about some Islamic traditions and customs in his lecture, including visiting the relatives, feeding the poor, and etc.
Other speakers at the meeting were Brigadier General Abbas Alharak, head of the office of the Basra Police Commander, Sheikh Shareef Al-Obaydi and Alaa Abdulredha.
