Offices and Islamic Centers of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Mourn Martyrdom of Imam Jawad (PBUH)

On the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad, blessings of God be upon him, many offices and Islamic centers affiliated to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in various parts of the world, held a commemoration ceremony.

The Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Basra held a religious commemoration ceremony to honor the memory of Imam Jawad, blessings of God be upon him, on his martyrdom anniversary. Cultural and religious figures attended this ceremony.

Pilgrims and Shia believers in holy Kadhimiya also commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (PBUH) during a ceremony, which was hosted at Rasul Adham Institute in this City. It is worth noting that this center also served pilgrims with food and refreshments, and provided them with a resting place during their visit to the shrine of Imam Jawad (PBUH).

Anwar Al-Jawadain Institute, affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Baghdad set up stations to serve pilgrims, who were on their way to the shrine of Imam Jawad (PBUH) in holy Kadhimiya. Sheikh Ali Al-Esami, director of this institute said: “Anwar Al-Jawadain Institute will continue its cultural, religious and humanitarian projects in the future.”

In Denmark, Imam Sadiq Center, affiliated with the Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Copenhagen commemorated the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Jawad (PBUH) in a ceremony. Recitation of holy Quran, religious lectures in Danish were the main part of this ceremony. The participants at this ceremony listened to a lecture by Sheikh Abdul-Hassan Asadi.

And in Australia, the Ale Yaseen Husayniya and Mosque in Sydney held special programs to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Jawad (PBUH). These programs were streamed live on the official webpages of this center on various social media platforms. It is worth noting that Australian government has put restrictions on religious assemblies due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in this country.
