Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Begins to Hold Commemorations

The Office of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi started to hold commemorations in the holy city of Qom in Iran, coinciding with the arrival of the days of mourning and grief of the martyrdom of the master of martyrs, the beloved grandson of the God’s holy messenger, Imam al-Husain, peace be upon him.
The commemoration was attended by the Grand Jurist himself, along with crowds of scholars, clerics, religious activists and public groups of people from different Muslim countries. Further, the speakers talked about the significance of Imam Husain’s uprising and the sacred rituals to remember his sacrifices.
The Central Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi holds commemorations for 13 consecutive days, starting on the first of Muharram, in the languages of Persian and Arabic in the morning and afternoon.
