Rituals Manager of Imam Hussain Shrine Meets Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

Over the past few days, Haji Riyadh Nima Salman, the head of Rituals Department of Imam Hussain and Hazrat Abbas Shrines in holy Karbala met with the Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi at the Grand Jurist’s Central Office in holy Qom, and listened to precious advices from his eminence. In this meeting, the Grand Jurist underscored the importance of upholding the memory of AhlulBayt (peace be upon them) and stated:

“According to traditions, Hazrat Abbas (peace be upon him), whose shrine is in holy Karbala, addressed Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) as his brother only once in his entire life, and it was only when he was taking his last breaths on the day of Ashura. Today, there are millions of people around the world who wish to serve the shrine of Hazrat Abbas (peace be upon him) for once in their lifetimes. Anyone serving this holy figure, should be ready to face problems and hardships in their lives and react to them in a positive way.”

To further clarify on these remarks, the Grand Jurist said:

“What matters the most is to be thankful to God in all ups and downs. We should prepare for the hereafter, when we will not be asked about what we ate, drank, or wore. On the other hand, we will be asked what we went through at the cost of serving virtues. For this reason, we should remain steadfast and educate the younger generations about the AhlulBayt’s culture.” The Grand Ayatollah Shirazi then emphasized: “We all should look out for the youths. We should work hard to protect the young boys and girls from the massive propaganda against Islam.” At the end of his remarks, the Grand Jurist said: “To carry out our missions in full, we should not give in to the problems and be resolute and steadfast.”
