Young Activists from Kuwait Meet Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

On December 24, 2019, a group of religious activists, and government officials from Kuwait visited the House of Grand Shia Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi in holy Qom and met with his eminence in person.

In this meeting, the Grand Jurist began his remarks with this verse from Holy Quran:

“On the Day when the Hour has come, people will be divided [Chapter 30 Verse 14]”

His eminence then continued:

“On the Judgment Day, people stand in varying degrees and grades. And the only criteria for these grades are: putting your trust and belief in God, and the holy AhlulBayt [the holy Household Members of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon them]. And second, it is doing good deeds all your lives.”

The Grand Jurist further explained:

“The belief in God and doing good deeds, these are the criteria. But for attaining these things, you need to purify your heart, as the holy Quran says:

Prosperous is he who Purifies (his or her heart) [Chapter 91, Verse 9].”

People can be successful and attain high levels of faith to the amount of their heart’s purity. Also, you should guide others to the right path.”

The Grand Ayatollah also stated:

“All laws should be in accordance to the laws of Islam.

In Quran, we read: “Authority is only with God. [Chapter 12, Verse 40]”

“Islam should be the only benchmark for laws; it requires fighting off evil whims and desires, and that’s why, the tyrannical regimes always feared Islam. We need the [man made] laws, to follow the laws of the God.
