Abdolsalam Mohammad Ansari Meets Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

Mr. Abdolsalam Mohammad Ansari, a former Sunni Muslim from Morocco who converted to Shia Islam, met with the Grand Jurist Ayatollah Shirazi at his House in the holy City of Qom in Iran.

At the beginning of this meeting, the Grand Jurist recounted a narration from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), in which the holy Imam asked one of his companions about his routine life, and the companion’s reply was that he has abandoned his business and spends his time doing acts of worship at the mosque. When Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) heard this, he said: “Go and reclaim your dignity.” These words by Imam Sadiq (PBUH), as the Grand jurist explained, hinted that working is a great source of virtue and dignity.

The Grand Jurist kept on: “There is a hadith from the Prophet of Islam, in which his holiness states: My Household (AhlulBayt) are like the arc of Noah, whoever boards with them is saved and all others are drowned.”

According to this hadith, which is a reliable one based on a consensus among all schools of Islam, anyone who follows the AhlulBayt (peace be upon them) will be led to paradise, because this is what the Prophet of Islam has promised us.
